The ARGO Scholarship (South African Students)


The ARGO Scholarship is a full subsidy (100%) of the fees for the Certificate Course or the Diploma Course. It is not available for applicants to the Foundation Course.
The ARGO Astrology Scholarship is awarded by ARGO Astrology Conferences and Workshops to encourage and assist the training of professional astrologers in South Africa. To ensure that no talented astrology student is denied the opportunity to become a professional astrologer at the level required by international standards and suitable for the proper practise of astrology, the ARGO Astrology Scholarship is awarded to a qualifying student who is financially prohibited from pursuing the Diploma in Astrological Studies.

REQUIREMENTS


The scholarship is awarded to a student who
• has completed all assignments and requirements for the Foundation or the Certificate in Astrological Studies at Rod Suskin School of Astrology;
• shows promise in the knowledge, skill and talent required for the professional practice of astrology;
• cannot afford the course fee for the next year of study;
• is a citizen or permanent resident of the Republic of South Africa

AWARDING


Only one scholarship is awarded each year. The decision will be made by Rod Suskin in consultation with a Review Panel and will be influenced by performance in class, assignments and the Exam.
Applications must be attached to your application to join the next year's course, and must be received on or before the closing date for applications on the course application. Applicants will be notified whether they have received the scholarship at the time the exam results are released, which is usually in the last week of December.
Candidates who do not succeed in their application are not obliged to pursue their application for the next year's Course.
Application for the Scholarship, failing at acquiring it or declining the award for some reason do not prejudice a subsequent application should you join the Certificate or the Diploma Course at a future date.

The VEGA Scholarship is a full subsidy (100%) of the fees for the Foundation Course. It is not available for applicants to the Certificate or Diploma Course.
The VEGA Astrology Scholarship is awarded by Rod Suskin School of Astrology to provide opportunities for students with limited funds to enter the path to professional practise. To ensure that no talented astrology student is denied the opportunity to become a professional astrologer at the level required by international standards and suitable for the proper practise of astrology, the VEGA Astrology Scholarship is awarded to a qualifying student who is financially prohibited from beginning their Diploma in Astrological Studies.

REQUIREMENTS


The scholarship is awarded to a student who
• has completed High School or the equivalent and is 18 years or older;
• can convincingly demonstrate their motivation and intention to pursue a professional path in astrology;
• cannot afford the course fee for the first year of study;
• is a not a temporary or permanent resident of the Republic of South Africa

AWARDING


Only one scholarship is awarded each year. The decision will be made by Rod Suskin in consultation with a Review Panel and will be influenced by the prospective student’s written motivation.
